RFQ - 2024-2025 Geotechnical Engineering for Non-Fed Aid Projects - 2023115

The City of Spokane, through its Department of Engineering Services (hereinafter “City”) is initiating this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit Proposals from Firms with expertise in geotechnical engineering. This will be an on-call type contract for up to $800,000. There is no guaranteed minimum amount of work that will be directed to the consultant as a result of the contract that will be awarded pursuant to this RFQ. The scope of services envisioned in this RFQ may include some or all of the following: • Classification of soils by appropriate methods • Determination of soil properties by appropriate means • Determination of foundation and wall design parameters • Pavement subgrade characterization and pavement design • Evaluation of water mounding in relationship to stormwater injections • Conducting geophysical studies, test borings, test excavations, infiltration testing, aquifer testing • Identification of restrictive infiltration layers below the ground surface • Slope stability and groundwater seepage analysis • Geotechnical report preparations • Phase 1 and Phase 2 environmental site assessments • Construction phase contaminated site assessments and recommendations for remediation • Conducting special inspections or other geotechnical related construction phase inspections
